Andrea May (BRASIL) é artista visual e sonora, curadora independente e
doutoranda em Artes Visuais pela Universidade Federal da Bahia (UFBA). No
campo da docência atuou como professora substituta de Artemídia no curso de
Artes Visuais do Centro de Artes, Humanidades e Letras/ Universidade Federal do
Recôncavo da Bahia - UFRB (fev. 2021/ jun. 2022). Em maio de 2023 assumiu
a Coordenação do Educativo no Museu de Arte Contemporânea (MAC_BAHIA).
Também conhecida como May HD,
performou e registrou obras do projeto solo "Noisy Turntablism” (Discotecagem ruidosa) de livre improvisação
utilizando discos de vinil preparados ou destruídos somados a efeitos
eletrônicos nos festivais: Pequenas Sessões 2021, NOVAS FREQUÊNCIAS Ano X,
DYSTOPIE 2020 (Berlin), Circuito de Música Contemporânea - CMC (2018 e 2019),
DIGITÁLIA, CURTO CIRCUITO na Audio Rebel (RJ); Centro da Terra (SP), Fauhaus
(SP), Casa Híbrido (BH), além de parcerias com artistas: Junix 11, Ida Toninato
(Canadá), Bella, Marcela Lucatelli, Nahnati Francischini, Aishá Roriz, Edbrass
Brasil, Coletivo MACCHINA SOM ALLSTARS (Alemanha), dentre outros.
Albuns lançados: AUTOSAVE (Noise
Invade); SONHO DOBRADO (Pan Y Rosas Discos - Chicago/ EUA), ORBITAR (single),
EXPULSO (Al revés) e MATAFANASMA (single) todos disponíveis online.
Atualmente vem desenvolvendo
obras no campo da web art e realizando live performances utilizando
codificação criativa (JavaScript).

Andrea May (BRAZIL) is a visual and sound artist, independent curator and doctoral candidate in Visual Arts at the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA).
